Did a compression test and all three cylinders seem to have low compression. Took the cylinder head to a machine shop where they found some hairline cracks that they couldn't fix. Ordered new head and the machine shop swapped out the valves, installed new valve seats and had them do a valve job to lap in the old valves to the new cylinder head. The compression test reading is affected by the internal volume of the adapter and hose to the gauge. A bigger diameter or longer hose will reduce the reading. Pretty sure the rear cylinder is dead. When I crack the injector line there’s no change in running but the white smoke goes away. I did a compression check and got the rear cylinder at only 200 psi. I added about a cap full of oil and compression only went up to around 220-230 psi. Normally I’d suspect something else like valve/head/gasket .
